Welcome to my website, glad you're here.

In [**work in detail**](/werk-in-detail) you can see what I've been working on in recent years.

I am a visual artist and work mainly with clay, although in recent years I've also taken up painting alongside it. I make reliefs, clay paintings, modelled sculptures and wheel-thrown work. In recent years I have been almost exclusively occupied with monumental commissions; I work freely as well as on commission, and give courses and workshops.

My work is emotional and poetic with a monumental character. **Working with clay is for me the same as writing a poem.**
